Humble beginnings...

Established in 1981, The Missouri and Kansas Invitational Tournament (MAKIT)  is to serve as a catalyst to advance and promote: growth, development, outreach, and friendship of LGBTQIA+ bowlers and supporters across the region. MAKIT is dedicated to the promotion of amateur bowling for all persons regardless of any identity with an emphasis on the education and participation of members of the LGBTQIA+ community.  MAKIT will take an active leadership role in encouraging, mentoring, and developing LGBTQIA+ members of the community and fostering relationships with other like-minded organizations.

Letter from the Directors

Welcome to MAKIT 2021.

Our planning committee has been working hard to bring you another great tournament and keep our bowling ball running smoothly with a straight shot and relatively good speed just off center down the lane.  We learned a lot from last year and have combined that knowledge with our own experiences we’ve had at bowling tournaments and larger-scale LBGTQ events.

We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been up to!
